Religious and Cultural Voices Meet in Madrid
Madrid brought together community leaders, artists and experts in coexistence to mark cultural diversity and peaceful coexistence. The round table included a representative of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and Denise González. Speakers shared different experiences and viewpoints on how education can reduce prejudice.
In the discussion, participants addressed themes such as human rights, cultural identity and respect for differences. Fundación Mejora framed the initiative with Scientology’s emphasis on ethical values and community improvement. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, noted Scientology that cultural and religious diversity is a value for society when rooted in respect for human rights.
